Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shank Framrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Nova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Framrock fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nova uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Framrock.
Framrock looks to land a left hand but Nova moved out of range nicely.

and Nova counters with a nice low kick that buckles Framrock's knee momentarily.

Nova feints and as Framrock raises his hands in defense, Nova changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nova really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Framrock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Framrock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nova is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Nova must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Framrock is trying to control the position but Nova postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Framrock drops back looking for a leg! Nova is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nova manages to kick Framrock off! Framrock jumps back into Nova's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Nova feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Framrock looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Nova shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Framrock manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Nova is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Framrock doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nova.

Framrock had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nova is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Framrock Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nova's back instead.
Framrock is not going to allow Nova to sit and survive in this position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nova might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Framrock kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
