The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Drake lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

It looks like Xavier Smith has been cut.

and Smith counters by clinching up.
Drake swings wildly with an uppercut but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it.

Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Drake just stands there and leans against the cage.
Dustin Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Smith.

With the fighters up against the cage, Smith throws an elbow but misses.
Drake lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Drake lands a right hand that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Smith fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Smith has Drake pressed against the cage, preventing Drake from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Smith is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Smith tries a knee to the head but Drake blocks it.

Drake changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Smith fights it off and pushes away nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Drake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Drake lands with an overhand left.

That has opened up Xavier Smith's cut even more.
Drake fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Smith on the side of the head.

Smith is rocked!
Drake drops Smith with a naaaaasty hook - Smith is in real trouble here! Drake dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
