The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassidy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Banners circles away quickly and effectively.
Banners fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cassidy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cassidy doesn't manage to clinch there - Banners circles away.
Cassidy tries to clinch up but Banners circles away and keeps his distance.
Cassidy throws a big shot that misses.
Banners stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Banners wants it to stay on the feet.
Cassidy swings for the body but Banners moves out of range.
Cassidy throws a right and a left that Banners avoids nicely.
Cassidy throws a series of punches but Banners avoids them all with ease.
Cassidy ducks under a wild hook from Banners.

Cassidy looks to land a right hand but Banners moved out of range.
Hucklebuck Cassidy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Banners throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Banners takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cassidy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Banners.
Banners smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Good leg kick by Banners there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Banners lands the left hand.

Banners cracks Cassidy with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cassidy looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Banners finish him?

Banners lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cassidy at a distance.
Cassidy is still on wobbly legs! Can Banners finish him?
Banners is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Cassidy flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Cassidy is out cold! Banners holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
