Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Silva drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva has Martinez pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Martinez manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Martinez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Martinez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Martinez fails with the takedown.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Valderen Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aemiliano Martinez.

Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there.

Martinez looks gassed!

and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Martinez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Martinez manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Martinez's guard.

Silva stands and steps away. Martinez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Silva throws a series of punches but Martinez moves out of range.
Silva misses with a double jab.

Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Martinez is holding on to half guard well.
Martinez tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg.

Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Martinez defends it well.
