Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between a b (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Alvarenga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bryan Alvarenga is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bryan Alvarenga!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
b fails with an attempt to clinch.
Alvarenga looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

b shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

b seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Alvarenga for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

b tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alvarenga paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Alvarenga gets caught flat footed, as b shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

b tries to pass to full mount but Alvarenga defends it.

b is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Alvarenga's half guard.

Alvarenga breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

b bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

b stands up.

b tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Alvarenga decides to take the fight back to the feet.

b fails to pull the fight into his guard.
b tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Alvarenga just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for a b. That's going to take a lot out of him.

b gets control of Alvarenga's arms and successfully pulls guard. b will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Alvarenga might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control b kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

b is looking to sinch up a triangle. Alvarenga throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to b's body to avoid the submission. b has instead reached around Alvarenga's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! b arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
