Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peewee Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Donitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donitz closes the distance and clinches up with Herman, looking for a takedown. Donitz pushes Herman against the cage but Herman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Donitz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Herman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Donitz somewhat.
Donitz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Herman's waist but Herman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Donitz off to one side.
Peewee Herman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Donitz.
Herman leaves Donitz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Herman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Donitz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Karl Donitz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Donitz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Herman was covering up waiting for the punch and Donitz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Donitz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Herman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Donitz, into his guard.

Good leg kick by Herman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
