The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lappalainen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nogueira's hands.
It looks like Alexandre Nogueira has been cut.
Lappalainen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nogueira.
Nogueira ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lappalainen moves away.
Nogueira moves in looking to clinch but Lappalainen pushes him off.

Nogueira shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lappalainen sprawls well. Lappalainen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nogueira gets slowly back to his feet.
