Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sherdog Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Vreeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee comes into the arena with Can You See Me Now blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vreeland looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Vreeland drops back looking for a leg! Dee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dee manages to kick Vreeland off! Vreeland jumps back into Dee's guard.
Dee wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Vreeland throwing strikes from guard but Dee blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vreeland pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dee is keeping the position for now.
Dee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vreeland is one step ahead there.

Vreeland lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Dee wants to sweep here but Vreeland controlling him for the moment.
Dee preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Dee has his foot on Vreeland's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vreeland works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Vreeland got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vreeland has managed to get both his arms back between Dee's legs - danger averted.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dee tries to clinch but Vreeland moves out of range.

Vreeland closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dee did well to prevent Vreeland getting side control.
Vreeland misses with a head shot. Dee uses the momentum to regain guard.
Vreeland postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Vreeland passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Dee tries to improve position but can't.
Vreeland postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Dee is looking for a sweep.

Vreeland is trying to get an arm triangle but Dee is defending well.
Vreeland creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Dee sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Dee regains half guard.

Vreeland is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Dee wants to improve his position but Vreeland is controlling well.
Vreeland uses his free foot to push down on Dee's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dee.

Vreeland is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dee has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Vreeland looks gassed!
