PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Aguinaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aguinaga kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Madrina. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Felix Aguinaga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Wein!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wein misses with a body shot.
Wein avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Aguinaga shoots in looking for a takedown. Wein tries to sprawl out of it but Aguinaga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wein manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
John Wein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aguinaga tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wein sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aguinaga somewhat.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

John Wein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Oh but Aguinaga is tightening it up a little... Wein has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Wein reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Wein taps out! nice BJJ there by Aguinaga!
