The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
john walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gracie checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
john misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gracie.
Gracie jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nice defenses there by Gracie.

john lands a big head kick that sends Gracie tumbling to the mat! john takes a step backwards and waves Gracie back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gracie is rocked!

It looks like Rickson Gracie has been cut.
john thuds his shin into the meat of Gracie's side.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can john finish him?
Gracie looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
john throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
Gracie seems to have recovered his senses.
john lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from john, right into the meat.
john tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
john moves out of range of the strikes.

john lands a big head kick that sends Gracie tumbling to the mat! john takes a step backwards and waves Gracie back to his feet - he wants the finish!

john fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it.
john fakes the leg kick and cracks Gracie in the body.
john feints a jab and as Gracie dips his head, john unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Gracie right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Gracie falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the ropes! john smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Big john!
