Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lenni Flisa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jani Pekkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pekkanen misses with a two punch combination.
Flisa stuffs the takedown.
Pekkanen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flisa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pekkanen looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Flisa stuffs the takedown attempt from Pekkanen. Pekkanen gets slowly back to his feet.
Lenni Flisa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jani Pekkanen.

Pekkanen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pekkanen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Flisa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Flisa is trying to control but can't.
Flisa is refusing to be controlled, as Pekkanen sits in half guard.
Flisa works his way to full guard. Good work.
Pekkanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flisa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Flisa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pekkanen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pekkanen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pekkanen advances to half guard.

Flisa tries to roll over but Pekkanen keeps him under control.

Flisa is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Pekkanen pulls his head out easily.
Flisa wants to improve his position but Pekkanen is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pekkanen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pekkanen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pekkanen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pekkanen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Flisa gets to his feet. Pekkanen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Flisa misses with a takedown attempt

and Pekkanen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Flisa won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Flisa sneaks back into half guard.
Pekkanen is looking to advance position but Flisa won't allow it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Flisa gets full guard.
Flisa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pekkanen's guard.
Flisa throws a strike but Pekkanen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Flisa is on top in guard.
Flisa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pekkanen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Flisa could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Flisa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pekkanen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Flisa has Pekkanen in his guard.
Pekkanen tries to free his leg and advance position but Flisa is retaining full guard.

Pekkanen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Flisa is proving hard to escape from.

Pekkanen wants to control from the top but Flisa keeps moving.

Pekkanen is sitting in close to Flisa's body. Flisa has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Pekkanen is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Pekkanen is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Flisa.
