Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from QUIK PHISH. No joy for Thunder on that attempt.

QUIK PHISH feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
QUIK PHISH is looking to work some ground and pound but Thunder has wrist control.
QUIK PHISH tries to free his leg and advance position but Thunder is retaining full guard.

QUIK PHISH drops back, looking for a kneebar! Thunder looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Thunder looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Thunder!

QUIK PHISH is working to tighten is grip on Thunder's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Thunder has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but QUIK PHISH is really squeezing tight and eventually Thunder passes out! QUIK PHISH breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
