The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dirksen throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Jones checks a low kick from Dirksen.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dirksen's waist but Dirksen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
Jones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jones there as he acknowledges the shot.
Dirksen misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming.
Dirksen throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range.
Dirksen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Dirksen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jason Dirksen.
