The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asmeho wants to clinch.
Asmeho misses with a series of wild punches.
Asmeho gets a takedown into half guard.
Asmeho tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vanhos knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Vanhos keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Asmeho decides to return to a standing position.
Asmeho shoots in for a takedown but Vanhos shows good takedown defense.
Asmeho fails with the takedown.
Asmeho is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vanhos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Asmeho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Asmeho closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vanhos to the mat! Vanhos manages to get full guard.
Vanhos has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Asmeho doesn't defend quickly enough and Vanhos has managed to lock this one up! Can Asmeho escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Vanhos on a fantastic submission victory.
