The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Athrox lands a two punch combo.
Kimura throws a sloppy head kick and Athrox moves out of range easily.

Kimura drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Athrox manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kimura has Athrox in his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Athrox is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kimura is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kimura has escaped and now he's on top!
Kimura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kimura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kimura is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Athrox is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kimura is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Athrox isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kimura stacks Athrox on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kimura!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Athrox keeps the fight on the outside.
Athrox gets caught flat footed, as Kimura shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kimura slips nicely into half guard.
Kimura is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Athrox is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kimura pulls his head out easily.
Kimura seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Athrox is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
