Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Salvador Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Sommers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vic Sommers is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Sommers throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sommers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sommers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cannon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sommers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sommers throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Cannon avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Cannon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sommers but Sommers pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cannon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cannon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, Vic Sommers just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No joy there for Sommers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cannon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sommers as he jumps to the side.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sommers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cannon.
Cannon swings for the body but Sommers moves out of range.

Cannon takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sommers throws a shot from downtown. Cannon moves away and avoids it.
Sommers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cannon.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well Sommers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
