Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kustaa Pohjanala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kustaa Pohjanala will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLeod shoots in looking for a takedown. Pohjanala tries to sprawl out of it but MacLeod keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pohjanala manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pohjanala keeps MacLeod at a distance using the push kick.
MacLeod looks for a takedown but Pohjanala sprawls well.
Pohjanala circles away from the clinch attempt.
MacLeod fails to land with a series of punches.
MacLeod fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark MacLeod. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A solid body kick from Pohjanala.
MacLeod shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pohjanala but Pohjanala pushes him off and we're back to square one.
MacLeod is breathing heavily.
Pohjanala shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says MacLeod as he avoids it easily.

MacLeod closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pohjanala to the mat! Pohjanala manages to get full guard.
Pohjanala tries to land a sweep but no joy.
MacLeod wants to pass the guard but Pohjanala is keeping the position.

MacLeod will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pohjanala holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
MacLeod tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pohjanala just stands there and leans against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pohjanala stops a takedown attempt from MacLeod.
Pohjanala lands a nice elbow.
Pohjanala stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Pohjanala is pressed up against the cage. MacLeod has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pohjanala down to the mat. Pohjanala avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pohjanala is looking to slow MacLeod down with leg kicks.
MacLeod takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
MacLeod tries to clinch but Pohjanala moves away
and Pohjanala counters with an inside leg kick.
Pohjanala moves in looking to clinch but MacLeod pushes him off.

Pohjanala gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
MacLeod passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Pohjanala tries to buck MacLeod off but MacLeod is having none of it.

MacLeod decides to take the fight back to the feet.

MacLeod closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

MacLeod stands up and beckons Pohjanala to his feet.

MacLeod goes for an armbar but Pohjanala turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pohjanala.
Pohjanala won't allow MacLeod to sweep him here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

MacLeod is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pohjanala rolls with it to try and escape but MacLeod cranks on the arm and Pohjanala is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
