Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between TJ TJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Gooden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gooden shoots in for a double leg but TJ sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

TJ has closed the distance and engaged Gooden in a clinch.

Gooden has hold of one of TJ's legs. TJ is fighting the takedown attempt but Gooden gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Gooden loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
TJ wants to get back to his feet but Gooden is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
TJ has Gooden pulled in close to control his posture.
TJ is looking to stand up but Gooden isn't so interested in that idea.

TJ pushes Gooden off and gets back to his feet.

TJ shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than TJ was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gooden is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, TJ cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
TJ looking to control but Gooden is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Gooden tries to lock up and control but TJ gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gooden is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
TJ landing strikes from the mount.
TJ controlling the position easily from mount.
Gooden is looking to improve his position but TJ isn't that keen on the idea.

TJ with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Gooden is bucking up trying to escape but TJ cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

TJ avoids the attempt from Gooden to control.

TJ moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gooden has worked his arm free - good work by Gooden!
TJ is breathing heavily.
Gooden is looking to reverse the position.
TJ prevents Gooden from escaping the position.
Gooden is not content to let TJ control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

TJ has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
TJ tries to close the distance and clinch but Gooden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chase Gooden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

TJ gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gooden is looking to work some ground and pound but TJ has wrist control.
TJ is trying to control the position from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gooden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gooden decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on TJ, up you get!

TJ shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. TJ showed some decent athleticism there.
Gooden is trying to control but can't.

TJ is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Gooden wants to get back to his feet.
Gooden gets back to full guard.

Gooden pushes TJ off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
TJ lands with a slapping head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gooden lands a glancing blow to the side of TJ's head.
Gooden jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gooden tries a low kick but TJ avoids it.
TJ thuds his right hand into Gooden's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

TJ has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gooden goes for a takedown attempt but TJ pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

TJ shoots in for a double leg but Gooden sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

TJ moves into the clinch successfully.
TJ prevents the takedown attempt.
TJ TJ has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chase Gooden.

TJ manages to break the clinch.
TJ TJ is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

TJ throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gooden was covering up waiting for the punch and TJ finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

TJ slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gooden scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Gooden throws a left and a right that both miss

so TJ counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

TJ gets to his feet. Gooden looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

TJ has Gooden up against the cage in a clinch.
TJ stops a takedown attempt from Gooden.

Gooden successfully pulls guard.
TJ lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
TJ TJ overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gooden wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and TJ is now in half guard.

TJ shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Gooden kicks TJ off and gets back to his feet.

Gooden is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

TJ changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gooden looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

TJ gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gooden to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gooden avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

TJ is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gooden defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

TJ TJ dominated that second round.
That's time! TJ's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

TJ is looking to clinch.

Gooden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows TJ to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Gooden looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gooden wants to sweep but no luck.
Gooden wants to stand and escape but TJ is having none of it.
TJ wants to control from the top but Gooden keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gooden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

TJ is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gooden lands with a nice body punch.
No joy there for Gooden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
TJ wants to clinch up but Gooden keeps it at a distance.
TJ fails in his attempt to clinch.

TJ bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gooden is not content to let TJ control the position.
Gooden tries to bench press TJ off him but TJ keeps the position.

TJ working away.
TJ remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Gooden pushes TJ away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, TJ gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Gooden tries to buck TJ off but TJ is having none of it.
Gooden gets back to half guard.
TJ prevents Gooden from standing back up.
Gooden is trying to control but can't.

Gooden might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control TJ kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Gooden pushes TJ off looking to stand but TJ dives back in and keeps control.
Gooden wants to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gooden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gooden makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
TJ wants to stand up but Gooden is controlling him.

TJ uses the cage to get back to his feet.

TJ shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gooden but Gooden pushes him off and we're back to square one.

so TJ counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Gooden looking to hit a scissor sweep but TJ is one step ahead there.

Gooden has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but TJ can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well TJ has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
