The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furcal takes a kick to the side of the head.
Furcal misses with a hook. Lam ducked under it nicely.
Furcal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Furcal avoids a kick to the body.
Lam misses with a series of wild punches.
Furcal thows a body shot but no joy.
A lazy left from Furcal finds it's target.
Lam gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Furcal lands a nice shot that snaps Lam's head back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Furcal swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lam.

Furcal looks to throw the jab but Lam is out of range.
Mike Furcal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Furcal throws out a loose jab but Lam uses good head movement to avoid it.

Furcal throws a chopping leg kick but Lam manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Lam tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Furcal was well out of range. Poor timing from Lam.

Furcal moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lam steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Furcal.
Lam throws a sloppy head kick and Furcal moves out of range easily.

Furcal loads up on a big right hand but Lam slips the punch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lam.
Lam takes one on the button.

Furcal wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Furcal throws an overhand right that lands on Lam's shoulder, as Lam tries to avoid the shot.

Lam pivots, looking for a leg kick but Furcal is out of range and Lam settles back down.

Lam gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Furcal.
Lam feints and then cracks Furcal's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Furcal down.

Furcal sends Lam crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Furcal is motioning to the referee to let Lam up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Lam uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Furcal.
Lam thows a body shot but no joy.

Furcal is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Lam uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Furcal.
Furcal scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lam in his tracks.

Lam has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Furcal finds it's way round the side to connect with Lam's head.
