The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West closes the distance and clinches.

West pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

West has Douche up against the cage in a clinch.

West's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Douche throws a combination but it was largely blocked by West.
West fails with a takedown attempt.
Douche fails to land with a series of punches.
Douche throws a front kick aimed at West's knee but West avoids it well.

West closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Douche thows a body shot but no joy.

West takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

West works to advance to full mount. Douche defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

West swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Douche is now in West's guard. A big mistake from West there, giving up the dominant position!

West changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Douche looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

West's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

West is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Douche knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Deano West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Deano West is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
