The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shengu pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gouda is looking to clinch but Shengu is avoiding it.
Gouda tries to clinch but Shengu is having none of it.

Shengu swats away the attempt to clinch by Gouda.
Shengu lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shengu.
Horrible takedown by Gouda or perhaps it was just good defense by Shengu which made him look bad.
Shengu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gouda moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shengu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Gouda closes the distance and pushes Shengu back into the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gouda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A frustrated look appears on Shengu's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Gouda keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shengu's efforts to push away.

The cut above Niko Shengu's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Gouda lands an elbow just above Shengu 's eye.
Gouda jumps guard.
Gouda throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Gouda pulls Shengu in close to prevent any damage.
Gouda wants to stand up but Shengu is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gouda takes the fight into the clinch.
Gouda escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shengu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shengu misses with a low kick.
Gouda shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shengu is trying to defend but Gouda finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Gouda decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Gouda shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shengu as he avoids it easily.
Gouda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shengu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fritz Gouda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gouda rushes Shengu and presses him up against the cage.
Gouda lands an elbow inside that Shengu shrugs off.

Gouda is looking to stand up but Shengu won't let him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gouda stands up from Shengu's guard - Gouda perhaps looking for a knockout.

Gouda uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Shengu throws a right hand that Gouda ducks under and follows up with a left that Gouda also avoids with ease.

Gouda clinches.
Gouda creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Shengu's defenses.
Gouda connects with a knee to the head.
Niko Shengu's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Niko Shengu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Fritz Gouda!
