Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Rodrigues looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Uchiha avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Uchiha drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rodrigues wants to stand and escape but Uchiha is having none of it.
Uchiha trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rodrigues is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Rodrigues decides to pull guard.
Rodrigues wants to stand but Uchiha is controlling the position.

Rodrigues wants to get back to his feet but Uchiha is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rodrigues really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uchiha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Uchiha drops back looking for a leg! Rodrigues is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rodrigues manages to kick Uchiha off! Uchiha jumps back into Rodrigues's guard.
Uchiha wants to pass the guard but Rodrigues is keeping the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rodrigues tries to close the distance and clinch but Uchiha swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Uchiha keeps the fight on the outside.
Uchiha shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rodrigues napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Uchiha is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rodrigues knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Uchiha prevents Rodrigues from escaping the position.
Uchiha has hold of Rodrigues's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Rodrigues seems comfortable defending it but Uchiha has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Rodrigues is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Rodrigues is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Uchiha couldn't care less - he's delighted!
