Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Drebin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dr James Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Drebin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dr James Andrews!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews tries to bum rush Drebin with a series of wild strikes but Drebin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Andrews looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A swing and a miss from Andrews.

Drebin takes the fight into the clinch.
Drebin with a knee to the head.
Andrews drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Drebin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Andrews uses from the top position.

Drebin is taking a breather. Andrews says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Drebin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Andrews tries to kick Drebin off but Drebin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Drebin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Drebin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Andrews bucks Drebin off and manages to get back to his feet!

Drebin has closed the distance and engaged Andrews in a clinch.
Drebin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Andrews backwards.
Andrews wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Drebin has him pressed against the cage.

Drebin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Drebin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Andrews will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Drebin has picked Andrews up - he's going for a ride! Drebin dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Andrews pushes Drebin off looking to stand but Drebin dives back in and keeps control.
Drebin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Andrews tries to lock up and control but Drebin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Andrews is in a horrible position here. Drebin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Drebin with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Drebin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Drebin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Andrews is now in Drebin's guard. A big mistake from Drebin there, giving up the dominant position!

Drebin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Andrews wants to get up but he can't break Drebin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Andrews has his foot on Drebin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Drebin works his way back into a safe position though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Drebin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
