Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Naoto Sugawara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnett has chosen Alaj volim kad je pomalena as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mirko Barnett is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett misses with a kick to the body.

Sugawara is breathing heavily.

Barnett feints and then cracks Sugawara's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sugawara down.

Barnett moves into range and clinches up with Sugawara.
Barnett gets through Sugawara's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

It looks like Naoto Sugawara has been cut.

Barnett breaks from the clinch.
Barnett throws a head kick that misses.
Sugawara tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Sugawara slips under a jab from Barnett.
Barnett works the jab nicely.
Barnett tries to clinch up.
Barnett pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Naoto Sugawara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Barnett. Sugawara does a little dance to reset his feet.
Barnett throws a leg kick which misses Sugawara's front leg but catches the back leg as Sugawara tries to avoid it.
Sugawara moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Barnett fails with an attempt to clinch.
Barnett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sugawara ducks under a wild hook from Barnett.
Barnett tries to close the distance and clinch but Sugawara swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sugawara takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Barnett moves into the clinch successfully.
Barnett presses Sugawara against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Barnett lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
Barnett is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sugawara is defending well for now.
Barnett lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sugawara backwards.

Sugawara tries to pull guard but Barnett holds him up against the ropes and eventually Sugawara drops back down to his feet.

Barnett using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sugawara has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
