The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogan lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Akkari sprawling to the canvas. Rogan follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Akkari hang on?

It looks like Leandro Akkari has been cut.
Rogan wants to stand but Akkari has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rogan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Akkari.

Akkari decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
