Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey low blow!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
low blow misses with a head kick.
low blow closes the distance and clinches up with McCay, looking for a takedown. low blow pushes McCay against the cage but McCay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

McCay darts in and clinches low blow up against the cage.

McCay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
low blow slips a straight right by McCay.
low blow shoots in and drives through. McCay sprawls well.
low blow closes this distance looking for a takedown but McCay circles away.
Robert McCay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey low blow.
low blow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
low blow dives in and grabs McCay's left leg, looking for a takedown. McCay pushes down on low blow's head and hops out.
low blow misses the shot to the body.
low blow wants to clinch

and McCay counters with a nice double leg into guard.
low blow trying to keep a closed guard but McCay is proving a slippery customer.

McCay wants to control but low blow is keeping him busy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McCay feints and as low blow raises his hands in defense, McCay changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
low blow has momentary wrist control but McCay slips an elbow through the middle.
McCay passes low blow's left leg - he's now in half guard.
McCay winds up and cracks low blow with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
McCay is looking to take a break and control but low blow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
low blow wants to control but McCay is keeping busy.

McCay lands with a punch from half guard.
McCay is trying to control the action in half guard but low blow is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
low blow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
low blow is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
low blow looks to clinch

and McCay holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
McCay prevents low blow from breaking the clinch.

McCay manages to pull guard.
low blow is looking to stand up but McCay won't let him.
low blow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCay swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McCay keeping moving, preventing low blow from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

McCay throws a right hand that low blow ducks under and follows up with a left that low blow also avoids with ease.
low blow looks to clinch

and McCay counters with a takedown into side control.
low blow tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McCay has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for low blow!
low blow can't escape the position.
McCay breaks from low blow's wrist control and lands an elbow.
low blow is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if low blow can do anything to dispel that myth.

McCay working for a submission but low blow is keeping him at bay.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McCay controlling from the full mount.
McCay trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McCay working low blow over with strikes here.

McCay swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and low blow is now in McCay's guard. A big mistake from McCay there, giving up the dominant position!

McCay wants to sweep but no luck.

McCay has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes low blow off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and McCay counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in low blow's guard now.
low blow wants to stand up but McCay is controlling him.

McCay pushing down on low blow's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
McCay wants to pass to mount but low blow is defending the position.
McCay wants to take a breather but low blow is having none of it.
low blow avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McCay.
low blow keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
McCay is looking to advance position but low blow won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
low blow tries for a takedown but McCay sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robert McCay dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


low blow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCay's waist but McCay gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing low blow off to one side.
McCay scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


It looks like Mickey low blow has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
McCay lands with a right to the head.
McCay is stalling here.
McCay drops to a knee looking for a takedown but low blow gets the underhooks and prevents it.

McCay manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

McCay looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

low blow got a little sloppy there for a moment and McCay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, low blow has managed to get both his arms back between McCay's legs - danger averted.

low blow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

McCay is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McCay prevents low blow from improving his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

McCay wants to control from the top but low blow keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
Robert McCay showed his dominance in that final round.
Well McCay has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
