Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Ruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Psiho Borec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borec has chosen Carl orff - o fortuna as his entrance music. Robbie Ruger could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Psiho Borec's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Ruger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Psiho Borec!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruger tries to clinch up but Borec circles away and keeps his distance.
Borec misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ruger misses with a few strikes there.

Borec closes the distance and clinches.
Ruger will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Borec up against the cage.
Borec is trying to drag Ruger to the mat but Ruger just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ruger utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Ruger prevents the takedown attempt.

Borec has Ruger pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Borec pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ruger tumbling to the mat - Borec dives into Ruger's guard.
Ruger has momentary wrist control but Borec slips an elbow through the middle.
Borecis looking to pass into half guard but Ruger pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ruger is in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Borec ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Borec shoots in for a takedown but Ruger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Borec shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ruger but Ruger pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ruger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Borec ducks under a wild hook from Ruger.

It looks like Psiho Borec has been cut.
Ruger throws a head kick but Borec moves out of range.
Ruger cracks the inside of Borec's front leg.

Ruger is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Ruger clinches with his opponent.
Borec takes an elbow to the temple.
Borec blocks a body shot from Ruger.
Ruger tries to stall but Borec uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Borec goes for a takedown attempt but Ruger pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ruger lands with an uppercut that bounces Borec off the cage and back into rage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Borec lands a body shot in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ruger misses with a knee to the head.
Ruger has Borec pressed against the cage.
Borec lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ruger backwards.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Ruger.
A short body shot lands from Borec as the two fighters clinch.
Ruger is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Borec tries for a takedown. No joy.

Borec has clasped his hands together around Ruger's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Borec scores with a couple of short elbows.
Borec postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Borec misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Borec tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Psiho Borec will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Borec throws a head punch that misses.
A nice left hand lands by Borec.
Borec wants a takedown.

Ruger lands a body punch.
Ruger comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ruger blocks a body shot from Borec.
Borec misses with a hook to the ribs.
Borec presses Ruger against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Borec tries to score a body lock takedown but Ruger shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Robbie Ruger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Psiho Borec.
Borec lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Ruger controlling the action here for a moment.
Borec drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ruger pulls his leg out and moves away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Borec throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ruger has taken the fight to the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Ruger.
A knee to the head by Ruger.
Borec tries to work over Ruger's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Borec gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Ruger keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ruger is looking to control Borec's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ruger avoid being mounted?
Ruger regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Borec.

Borec with a flurry of punches that miss.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Borec has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ruger.
Robbie Ruger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ruger connects with a crisp jab.
Ruger throws a nice looking combination but Borec bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ruger swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Borec decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ruger's guard.

Ruger has his hands on Borec's head, controlling the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ruger throws a head kick that misses
and Borec counters with a left and a right that stings Ruger.
Ruger has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Borec finds it's way round the side to connect with Ruger's head.

Borec shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Borec looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ruger with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Psiho Borec showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Horrible takedown by Borec or perhaps it was just good defense by Ruger which made him look bad.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Borec. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Borec dives in and grabs Ruger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ruger pushes down on Borec's head and hops out.

Borec fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Ruger creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Ruger landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Ruger stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ruger - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Borec has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ruger avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ruger scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Borec jumps guard and drags Ruger to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Borec is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Ruger wants to control from the top but Borec keeps moving.

Ruger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Borec is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Borec shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Borec has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ruger is really struggling to control Borec but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Robbie Ruger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ruger drops back looking for a leg! Borec is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Borec manages to kick Ruger off! Ruger jumps back into Borec's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Robbie Ruger showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Borec has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
