PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Ramen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinzo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramen comes to the ring accompanied by AC/DC - If You Want Blood . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramen lands a right hook to the body.
Silva slips a jab from Ramen.
Silva tries to clinch up.

Ramen clinches.
Ramen is trying to force a seperation but Silva has the dominant position.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ramen misses with a double jab.
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Ramen counters with a head kick that drops Silva to the mat! Silva scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Silva is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ramen throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.

Ramen cracks Silva with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Silva looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ramen finish him?

It looks like Shinzo Silva has been cut.
Ramen throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.

Ramen has managed to clinch.
Silva wants to get back to striking at distance but Ramen won't allow it.
Silva is trying to stall.
Ramen prevents the takedown attempt.
Ramen is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the ropes.

Ramen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Shinzo Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ramen stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Silva swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Still in the clinch, Ramen scores with a nice short uppercut.

Ramen breaks from the clinch.
Silva wants to clinch but Ramen slips to the side

and Ramen counters with a head kick that drops Silva to the mat! Silva scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ramen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silva.
Ramen lands with a hook. Silva tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Silva misses with the combination.
Kenji Ramen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ramen moves into the clinch.

Ramen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Silva blocks it with crossed arms.
Ramen tries to circle away but Silva has him pinned against the ropes.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Ramen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A big left from Ramen misses.
Ramen circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ramen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Silva looks gassed!
Ramen throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Nice straight punches there by Ramen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ramen.

A jab from Ramen finds it's way through Silva's defenses.

That has opened up Shinzo Silva's cut even more.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ramen is looking to clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ramen. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ramen throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Ramen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ramen to score with a decent uppercut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch.

That's time! Ramen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ramen lands with a hook. Silva tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ramen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Ramen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ramen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Silva can do to turn this around?
Silva wants to pass the guard but Ramen is keeping the position.
Ramen wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.
Ramen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Ramen is working an open guard so Silva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Ramen misses with the combination.
Ramen lunges at Silva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Silva's hand.

Ramen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ramen lands an elbow inside.

Shinzo Silva's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Ramen pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Silva is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Ramen wants to break free but Silva has control.
Silva misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Ramen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ramen pushes Silva up against the ropes in a clinch.
Ramen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Silva tries a body shot but Ramen blocks it.

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ramen, pushing him back against the ropes.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ramen on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Ramen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A swing and a miss from Ramen.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ramen as he avoids it easily.

Ramen lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Ramen takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shinzo Silva's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
