The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connely misses with a hook. Cuba ducked under it nicely.
Connely throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Connely closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Connely lands in his opponent's guard.
Cuba working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Connely.
Connely seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
I looks like Connely might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Connely is putting a hurting on Cuba here, landing some big shots from side control.

Connely is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cuba looks calm but he's in trouble here. Connely gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cuba is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Connely lets go of the hold and Cuba can pop his arm back in it's socket.
