Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Kalir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Kalir has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Eli Williams's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eli Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Kalir!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalir takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kalir looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Kalir persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing.
Williams throws a leg kick that misses.
Horrible takedown by Kalir or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams which made him look bad.
Kalir dodges the punch combination from Williams.
Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kalir closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kalir lands in his opponent's guard.
Williams is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Kalir throws and elbow that misses. Williams uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kalir's guard. Nice move by Williams!
Williams throwing strikes from guard but Kalir blocks nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams lands a couple of elbows.
Williams is working Kalir over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Kalir working a defensive guard but Williams manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kalir regains half guard.
Williams not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Williams is nestled in close to Kalir, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Williams wants to pass to mount but Kalir is defending the position.
Kalir taking some punishment here, with Williams in his half guard.
Williams is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams working over Kalir with some ground and pound. Kalir looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Kalir is looking to improve his position.

Kalir looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Kalir is looking to control Williams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kalir avoid being mounted?
Williams trying to control the action but Kalir is working from the bottom.
Kalir has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though.
Kalir throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Williams looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kalir with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Williams seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Williams tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kalir knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Williams lands a nice short elbow.
Williams is looking to take a break and control but Kalir is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Williams is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Williams seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Williams works his way into side control.
Williams scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kalir to see if he's OK.


Kalir is rocked!
Williams advances to full mount.

Williams is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kalir is surviving well by controlling Williams's body position as best he can.
Kalir wants to hold on but Williams pushes him away.
Kalir in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Williams with the ground and pound from mount.
Kalir is still in real trouble! Can Williams finish him?
Kalir throwing hammer fists to the chest of Williams. What's that going to do exactly?
Williams loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kalir scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Williams land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Williams stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eli Williams!
