The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clowsley throws a leg kick which misses Pierce's front leg but catches the back leg as Pierce tries to avoid it.
Clowsley avoids the head kick by Pierce.

Clowsley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pierce sprawls well initially but Clowsley persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Clowsley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
