Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Marston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Payne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Marston!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne misses with an uppercut. Marston saw that one coming.
Marston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Payne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Payne darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Payne is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marston trying to get back to full guard but Payne takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Payne is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Marston to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Marston shrugs it off.
Marston can't escape the position.
Marston is trying to escape the mount but Payne keeps good control and instead manages to take Marston's back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marston is really stuck here.
Payne just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Payne looking for the choke but no joy.
Payne scores with strikes from the back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marston wants to escape the position.

Payne patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Marston defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Payne's arms.
Payne trying to control momentarily.
Payne just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marston is trying to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marston trying to control the hands but Payne breaks the grip.
Payne tries to get the hooks in deep but Marston pushed the leg off.
Payne lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Marston is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Payne.
Marston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Payne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Payne working for a choke but Marston is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marston tries to roll but Payne sticks to his back.

Payne has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Marston is in real trouble here. Payne gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Marston is tapping out! Payne wins by rear naked choke!
