Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Rourk shoots in.
Rourk fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.

Rourk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Rourk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rourk has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.

Rourk isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Silva stacks Rourk on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Silva!

Silva decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rourk to his feet.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rourk misses with a takedown attempt

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Rourk didn't expect that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Rourk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rourk wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rourk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva is sitting in close to Rourk's body. Rourk has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rourk.
