The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rozario swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A jab from Rozario misses.
Lopez avoids the body shot from Rozario.
Horrible takedown by Lopez or perhaps it was just good defense by Rozario which made him look bad.
Lopez looks for a takedown but Rozario sprawls well.
Rozario lands with a shot to the body.
Lopez fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Lopez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rozario has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Lopez shoots for a double leg takedown but Rozario sprawls well. He's pushed Lopez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lopez tries to pull guard but Rozario holds him up against the cage and eventually Lopez drops back down to his feet.

Rozario digs a right hand underneath Lopez's ribcage. Lopez let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Lopez is trying to drag Rozario to the mat but Rozario just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lopez is breathing heavily.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rozario creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Rozario lands a damaging elbow.
Lopez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rozario smiles and moves away.
Rozario cracks Lopez with a good jab.
Rozario rushes Lopez with punches - Lopez moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Lopez goes down! Rozario follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
