Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Switch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Lombardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lombardo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Nas - Got Yourself A Gun. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombardo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lombardo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jab, jab by Lombardo - just one landing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Switch closes the distance and clinches up with Lombardo, looking for a takedown. Switch pushes Lombardo against the cage but Lombardo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Switch will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lombardo scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Lombardo wants to free his trapped foot but Switch is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Lombardo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Switch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lombardo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lombardo thows a huge punch but Switch dodges it nicely.

Switch is looking to control Lombardo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Switch avoid being mounted?

Lombardo slips a nice elbow through Switch's hands, connecting with Switch's forehead.
Lombardo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Switch with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Switch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lombardo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Lombardo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Lombardo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Switch to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Switch shrugs it off.

Switch tries to lock up and control but Lombardo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lombardo cracks Switch with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lombardo is landing with some decent strikes but Switch is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Switch is bucking up trying to escape but Lombardo cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Switch wants to control but Lombardo is having none of it.

Switch seems to have got his legs back now.
Lombardo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lombardo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Switch looks a forlorn figure.

Lombardo postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Switch in real trouble here! The ref calls for Switch to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
