The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yusen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Xiao Hu has managed to clinch.
Xiao Hu connects with a knee to the head.

It looks like Jerico Yusen has been cut.

Xiao Hu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Xiao Hu throws the kick towards the body but Yusen avoids it.
Xiao Hu doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Yusen counters with a three punch combo that has Xiao Hu backing up. Xiao Hu nods at Yusen to acknowledge the strikes.
Yusen fails with an attempt to clinch.

Yusen tries to circle away but Xiao Hu has him pinned against the cage.

Xiao Hu tightens his grip and picks Yusen up, before dumping him to the ground. Yusen manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Xiao Hu passes Yusen's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Yusen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Xiao Hu on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Xiao Hu as Yusen shoots in.

That's time! Yusen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Yusen moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Xiao Hu leaves Yusen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Xiao Hu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yusen circles away.

and Xiao Hu counters with a nice leg kick.
Li Xiao Hu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yusen shoots for a takedown but Xiao Hu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Xiao Hu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yusen is trying to defend but Xiao Hu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Xiao Hu shoots in for a double leg but Yusen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Yusen stuffs the takedown attempt from Xiao Hu. Xiao Hu gets slowly back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Xiao Hu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yusen pulls his head out easily.

Yusen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Xiao Hu sees it coming and defends easily.
Xiao Hu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Xiao Hu is taking a breather. Yusen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well Xiao Hu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
