Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasse Lamaannuttaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamaannuttaja checks a low kick from Daron.
Jack Daron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Daron tries to close the distance and clinch but Lamaannuttaja swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lamaannuttaja tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Lamaannuttaja drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Daron has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lamaannuttaja can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lamaannuttaja decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Daron, up you get!

Daron drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lamaannuttaja throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Daron escapes and throws Lamaannuttaja's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Daron tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Daron sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Lamaannuttaja thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Daron's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Daron is trying to get back to full guard.

Lamaannuttaja stands up from half guard.
Lamaannuttaja chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Daron can pounce on him.
Daron loads up on a big right hand but Lamaannuttaja slips the punch.
Daron throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Daron moves into range and clinches up with Lamaannuttaja.

Daron jumps into guard, dragging Lamaannuttaja to the mat.

Daron is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lamaannuttaja defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Daron dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lamaannuttaja shoots in for a takedown but Daron shows good takedown defense.
Daron throws a jab but it's blocked by Lamaannuttaja.
Daron lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Daron manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lamaannuttaja manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Daron wants to control from the top but Lamaannuttaja keeps moving.

Lamaannuttaja is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Daron is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Daron stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lamaannuttaja swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Crunch! Daron slams his shin into Lamaannuttaja's torso.
Lamaannuttaja throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Daron throws a lazy right hand but Lamaannuttaja sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Lamaannuttaja counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lamaannuttaja.

Daron isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lamaannuttaja stacks Daron on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lamaannuttaja!

Lamaannuttaja decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lamaannuttaja misses with a takedown attempt - Daron sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Good leg kick by Daron there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Daron lands a really nice looking cross but Lamaannuttaja seems unphased.
Daron lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lamaannuttaja at a distance.

Daron tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lasse Lamaannuttaja is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Daron fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lamaannuttaja.

Daron shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lamaannuttaja pinned against the cage. Lamaannuttaja gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Daron.
Lasse Lamaannuttaja has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jack Daron is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Daron.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Daron, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
