The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by LaPlaguea there.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from LaPlaguea.
No luck for LaPlaguea with that takedown attempt.
Andy LaPlaguea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
LaPlaguea looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
LaPlaguea looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Faber counters with a nice double leg into guard.
