Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aubrey Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Dupri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aubrey Martin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ryan Dupri's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aubrey Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Dupri!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dupri manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dupri has Martin pulled in close to control his posture.
Martin trying to control the position from guard on top but Dupri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Martin stands and steps away. Dupri gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Martin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dupri sprawls well initially but Martin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Martin is pressing down on Dupri's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dupri is holding on for now.

Martin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Martin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dupri on the ground.

Martin is looking to advance position but Dupri won't allow it.
Martin is keen to just control but Dupri is a slippery customer.
Martin stalling away here and it's allowed Dupri to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Martin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Martin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Martin counters by clinching up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Martin has Dupri pressed against the cage.

Martin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Martin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Martin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dupri gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Martin to score an easy takedown into full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Martin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Martin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Martin.

Martin throws a nice inside leg kick.
Martin thuds his shin into the meat of Dupri's side.
Martin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Dupri decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Martin's guard.

Dupri stops Martin from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dupri won't allow Martin to get back to his feet.
Dupri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Martin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Martin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Dupri counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Martin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dupri doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dupri manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Martin doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Martin wants to sweep here but Dupri controlling him for the moment.

Martin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dupri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Martin has control of Dupri's left arm, preventing Dupri from doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Martin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dupri napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Martin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Martin wants to stand but Dupri is controlling his arm.

You can see the frustration on Dupri's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Martin tries to advance to mount but can't.
Martin wants to stand but Dupri has his arm trapped.
Martin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dupri some visible discomfort.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Martin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aubrey Martin will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Martin is looking to clinch but Dupri is avoiding it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dupri keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Martin's efforts to push away.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aubrey Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dupri is staying active underneath Martin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Martin wants to stand but Dupri has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Martin is trying to control. Dupri wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Martin is looking to take a break and control but Dupri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well Martin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
