PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aruneru Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Sandro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Aruneru Hero has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Aruneru Hero seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandro waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hero.

Hero clinches.

It looks like Jose Sandro has been cut.
Sandro takes a knee right on the jaw!
A short right from Hero on the inside.
Sandro is trying to break free.

Hero misses with a knee strike.
Sandro can't break the clinch.
Sandro misses with some punches.
Sandro has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sandro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hero walks away with a smile on his face. Sandro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sandro looks gassed!
Hero has a takedown stuffed.
Hero shoots in and drives through. Sandro sprawls well.

Hero shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sandro's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hero trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hero slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Sandro is looking to reverse the position.
Sandro defending against the ground and pound.
Hero wants to control but Sandro is keeping him busy.

Hero content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Hero advances nicely into full mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hero throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Sandro is rocked!
Sandro takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Hero's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
