Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Syman Omapoika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sipho Maseco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maseco has chosen Tan Dun - For The World (Hero Soundtrack) as his entrance music. Sipho Maseco is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Omapoika. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Omapoika shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maseco pinned against the cage. Maseco gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Maseco throws a head kick but Omapoika moves out of range.

Maseco uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Omapoika has time to react.
Maseco is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Maseco lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Maseco throws a head kick that misses.

Omapoika feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Omapoika might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Omapoika is working Maseco over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Omapoika is pushing down on Maseco's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maseco is fighting to maintain full guard but Omapoika has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Maseco kicks off Omapoika and gets to his feet.
Omapoika takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Omapoika closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Maseco to the mat! Maseco manages to get full guard.
Maseco is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Omapoika postures up in Maseco's guard and throws a big left but Maseco blocks it.
Maseco seems keen to control Omapoika's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maseco wants to get back to his feet but Omapoika is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Omapoika postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Omapoika drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Omapoika seems to have locked his on tight now - Maseco screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Omapoika, as he picks up the win!
