The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruez tries to clinch but Teebow moves out of range.
Ruez stuffs the takedown attempt from Teebow. Teebow gets slowly back to his feet.
Ruez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Ruez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Teebow to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Teebow wants to control from the top but Ruez keeps moving.
Ruez doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Ruez is nestled in close to Teebow, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ruez connects with a nice short shot to Teebow's temple.
Teebow is not content to let Ruez control the position.
Teebow wants to improve his position but Ruez is controlling well.
Ruez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Ruez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ruez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Teebow stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ruez throws a series of punches but Teebow avoids them all with ease.
Ruez tries to bum rush Teebow with a series of wild strikes but Teebow uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ruez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Teebow looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ruez is fending him off so far but Teebow persists. Nope, Ruez circles away and we're back to standing.

Ruez circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Teebow drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Ruez follows Teebow to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
