Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Sandbergh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitry Lopescu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopescu misses with a few strikes there.
Lopescu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sandbergh avoids it really well and circles away.

Sandbergh closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lopescu to the mat! Lopescu manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lopescu looking for a guillotine here but Sandbergh defends easily.

Sandbergh gets to his feet. Lopescu looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lopescu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Sandbergh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sandbergh wants to stand but Lopescu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Sandbergh gets to his feet - Lopescu follows without any prompting.

Sandbergh looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sandbergh postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lopescu to stand up.

Lopescu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lopescu prevents Sandbergh from standing back up.

Lopescu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sandbergh has managed to free his arm - good work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Charlie Sandbergh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dimitry Lopescu.
Sandbergh tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Sandbergh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lopescu on the ground.

Sandbergh is posturing up here but Lopescu has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Sandbergh tries to roll out but it's too tight and Sandbergh has to tap! Slick submission there by Lopescu!
