The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hard needs to keep his hands up - Tran had a free shot at his head there.

Tran looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Tran has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hard is working for takedown but Tran is calmly controlling the position for now.

Tran wants the takedown. Hard is fighting it off but Tran persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hard's guard against the cage.

Hard looking for a guillotine here but Tran defends easily.

and Tran counters with a right hand to the body.
Tran takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Hard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hard lands in his opponent's guard.

Tran has his feet on Hard's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Hard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hard looks to score with a jab to the body but Tran is just out of range.

Tran instigates a clinch.

Tran has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hard clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hard is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Tran has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hard's body.
Tran's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tran is hanging on to Hard's back as he tries to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hard manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tran's guard. Nice work there by Hard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hard just trying to survive but Tran is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Hard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tran on the ground.
Hard wants to escape the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tran misses with a punch to the head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
