Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabriel Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimbo Slide!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Evans or perhaps it was just good defense by Slide which made him look bad.

Slide is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Slide lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Evans!
Evans tries to hold on but Slide postures up.

Slide is landing with some decent strikes but Evans is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Evans is trying to escape the mount but Slide keeps good control and instead manages to take Evans's back.

Slide has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Evans has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Slide slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Evans is looking to improve his position but Slide isn't that keen on the idea.

Slide is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Evans can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Evans knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slide on the ground.

Slide is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Evans is defending well though. Slide let's go of the attempt for now.

Slide is in all sorts of trouble here.
Slide is squirming around, avoiding Evans's attempts to control the action.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Evans lands a big shot there that rocks Slide but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Evans can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Slide is looking to escape.

Slide wants to hold on but Evans pushes him away.
Slide manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Slide wants to control but Evans is keeping busy.
Slide tries to roll over but Evans keeps him under control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Evans is taking a breather. Slide says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Slide is doing well to control the position and prevent Evans from advancing to side control.
Evans is thwarting Slide's attempts to control the position.
Slide is controlling Evans's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Evans wants to pass the guard but Slide is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gabriel Evans will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Slide drops back, looking for a kneebar! Evans looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Evans looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Evans!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Evans stands up.

Slide manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Evans manages to get himself to full guard.
Slide makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Slide thows a big elbow that misses.
Slide passes Evans's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kimbo Slide has got the better of the ground game so far.
Evans tries to roll over but Slide keeps him under control.

Evans is defending against the submission attempts here by Slide.
Evans wants to improve his position but Slide is controlling well.

Slide is keen to just control but Evans is a slippery customer.

Slide wants to finish this one by submission but Evans is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Slide.
Evans has given up his back. Will we see Slide going for some submissions?
Slide is riding his opponent, not letting Evans buck him off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Evans tries to escape but Slide has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Kimbo Slide comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Slide has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
