Copenhagen comes to the cage accompanied by Faint by Linkin Park. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rubin's choice of entrance music: MG. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diogo Rubin!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubin walks into a straight right hand from Copenhagen.


It looks like Diogo Rubin has been cut.

Copenhagen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Copenhagen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rubin's head.
Copenhagen works over Rubin with some ground and pound from guard.
Copenhagen throws a big right hand that misses.
Rubin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rubin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Copenhagen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rubin.

Rubin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Copenhagen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Copenhagen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Copenhagen!
Rubin is looking to reverse the position.

Copenhagen scores with a couple of short elbows.
Rubin is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rubin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rubin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Copenhagen is trying to control the action in half guard but Rubin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rubin tries to roll over but Copenhagen keeps him under control.
Copenhagen slips a nice elbow through Rubin's hands, connecting with Rubin's forehead.
Copenhagen is trying to control. Rubin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Copenhagen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Copenhagen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Rubin gets back to full guard.

Rubin looking for subs off his back but Copenhagen has passed one foot through into half guard.

Copenhagen landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Copenhagen decides to return to a standing position.

Copenhagen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Copenhagen prevents Rubin from improving his position.
Copenhagen slips a nice elbow through Rubin's hands, connecting with Rubin's forehead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Copenhagen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Copenhagen scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Rubin?

Rubin is bucking up trying to escape but Copenhagen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
