PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mano Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandt Bellamy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bellamy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dead and Gone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Bellamy pushes him off.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bellamy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bellamy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bellamy won't let Silva get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Silva is squirming around, avoiding Bellamy's attempts to control the action.

Bellamy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Bellamy's head.

Bellamy is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Bellamy moves out of range easily.
A left lands for Silva.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silva.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Bellamy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wants to try and get back to his feet.

Silva somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Silva drops Bellamy with a right and a left! Silva comes rushing in but Bellamy regains his composure and manages to keep Silva in guard.
Silva wants to get up but he can't break Bellamy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Silva stands up from Bellamy's guard - Silva perhaps looking for a knockout.
Bellamy dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bellamy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva tries to bum rush Bellamy with a series of wild strikes but Bellamy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva tries to clinch but Bellamy moves out of range.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
Silva lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bellamy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Bellamy shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Silva looks to land a combination but Bellamy avoids it well.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Bellamy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bellamy.
Mano Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandt Bellamy.
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.
Silva connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Bellamy tumbling to the canvas! Silva pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Bellamy was done - good stoppage!
