Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Rich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Rich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, CJ Duffy!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duffy scores a takedown into full mount!

Duffy is trying to control here but Rich has managed to regain half guard.
Duffy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Duffy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rich does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rich has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duffy is working away from the top position though.

Rich is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rich gets full guard.
Duffy trying to control the position from guard on top but Rich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rich closes the distance and clinches.
Rich goes for a takedown in the clinch but Duffy prevents it.

Rich has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Duffy uses from the top position.

Duffy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rich swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rich tries to get to full guard but Duffy has control of the leg.
Duffy stalling away here and it's allowed Rich to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, CJ Duffy just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rich feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rich is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Duffy has escaped the position, nice work there.

Duffy has hold of Rich's hands but Rich slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Rich takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Duffy wants to improve his position but Rich is controlling well.

That's time! Rich's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Rich swings for the body but Duffy moves out of range.

Duffy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Duffy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jay Rich is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Rich lands a big shot there that rocks Duffy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
