Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Greg Howe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benito Camelas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benito Camelas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Howe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 27 - 0, fighting out of London, Benito Camelas!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camelas shoots for a takedown but Howe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Howe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Howe is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Howe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Howe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Howe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Howe fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Howe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Camelas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Camelas lands in his opponent's guard.

Camelas stands up from Howe's guard - Camelas perhaps looking for a knockout.

Camelas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Camelas gets to his feet. Howe looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Camelas shoots in for a takedown but Howe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Camelas tries to close the distance and clinch but Howe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Howe obliges.
Camelas looks gassed!
Howe lands a knee to the body.
Camelas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Howe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Greg Howe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benito Camelas.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Howe lands a knee to the head.
Camelas tries to pull guard but Howe won't allow it.
Howe digs a right hand into Camelas's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Camelas's gas tank.

and Camelas counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Howe!
Howe is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Camelas looking to control but Howe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Howe really wants to buck Camelas off and get back to his feet.
Howe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Camelas on the ground.

Camelas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Howe is looking to escape.
You get the feeling that Howe really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Howe trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Benito Camelas will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Camelas motions for Howe to come forward. Camelas throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Howe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Howe doesn't manage to clinch there - Camelas circles away.
Howe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Benito Camelas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Camelas blocks a head kick by Howe.

Camelas has a takedown stuffed.
Camelas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Howe pinned against the cage. Howe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Camelas has Howe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Howe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

and Howe makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Camelas really felt that one!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Howe is refusing to be controlled, as Camelas sits in half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Howe looks like he's trying to stand up.
Camelas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Greg Howe.
I think Howe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
