And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz has Shevchuk up against the cage in a clinch.
Diaz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shevchuk smiles and moves away.

Shevchuk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Diaz lands a big shot there that rocks Shevchuk but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Diaz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shevchuk is looking to escape.

Diaz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shevchuk looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Diaz decides to stand back up. Diaz steps back and let's Shevchuk get back to his feet.

Shevchuk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Diaz uses from the top position.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Shevchuk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Diaz.
